WHANGAREI CLUB MEETS [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Thursday The annual general meeting of tho Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club was prosided over by Mr. H*. W. Davies. In his report the president referred to tho fine performance of D. E. Wilton, who was runner-up in the New Zealand championship meeting. He also congratulated Dr. H. P. Buckley on winning the club championship. Tho season ended with a small credit balance. It was decided to open the season on May 5. It was also decided to enter a team in the Tisdall Cup competition, which is open to all clubs in New Zealand. The election of officers resulted as follows —Patron, Mr. A. ,T. Murdoch; vicepatrons. Messrs. J. S. Woolley, R. T. Tudehope, H. W. Crawford and W. R. Patterson; president, Mr. H. W. Davies; vice-presi-Dr. H. F. Buckley; secretary. Mr. M. K. Stewart; assistant-secretary, Mr. R. Lynch; auditor, Mr. P. H. C. Cowan; committee. Messrs. D. E. Wilton, S. Hutton, J Barron, R. Jennings. M. SherrifT, and A. E. Pliggins; arms officer, Mr. C. Baker; handicapper, Mr. M. K. Stewart; selectors, Messrs. M. K. Stewart and D. E. Wilton.
