IDIOMS
Sir, —Your correspondent "H.M." is apparently a somewhat censorious person and unfortunate in the type of lie lias come in contact with. L have never yet heard an educated Australian use the expressions, "Bonzer day," etc., but I have frequently met New Zealanders who used the following idioms, "doing lovely," "good oh," "0.K.," "didn't used to," "I have rang up," "I would have' went." Also "Admirality" and "seccertary" are in universal use all over New Zealand and they pride themselves on their standard of education here. It ill becomes New Zealnnolers to criticise a country whose standard of education ranks as one of the highest in the world. OUMOND.
