DICKENS FELLOWSHIP
The tenth session of the Auckland hrancji of the Dickens Fellowship opened at the Fabian club rooms last night, 7 when the preliminary chapters of Bleak House, the book chosen for the year, were reviewed. The president, Mr. H. 1 ; C. Robinson, presided. Readings from chapters I. to V. were given by Mr. J. E. Green, "Jarndyce and Jarndyoe"; Mr. D. A. Neal, "My Lord and Lady Dedlock"; Mrs. H. E. Jones, "Conversation Kenge and Miss Summerson"; Miss I. Bonnie, "Wards* in Chancery"; Miss E. M. Statham, "Mrs. Jelly by at Home"; Mr. G. S. Bullen, 'Mrs. Jellahy's African Projects"; k Miss J. B. Cook, "Mr. Krook." At ■< the conclusion of the readings Mr. W. a. Hemingway gave an interesting ; .address.
