AUTOMOBILE PATROLS

INCREASE IN THE NORTH [by telegraph OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Thursday At the meeting of the Whangarei members of the Automobile Association (Auckland) held in Whangarei last evening it was intimated by Mr. A. Grayson, president, that it had been decided to appoint a second road patrol for North Auckland. The new patrol will be stationed at Kaikohe and will cover the far northern areas at present served by Mr. J. Skow, who has covered the whole peninsula. Mr. Grayson said the territory had become too large for one officer to attend to. Ho paid a high tribute to the splendid work accomplished by Mr. Skow and this was endorsed by the secretary, Mr. G. W. Hutchinson.
