KING'S SCHOOL
NEW HEADMASTER CAMBRIDGE BLUE CHOSEN ARRIVAL ABOUT SEPTEMBER Tho board of governors of King's Preparatory . School, Remnera, has appointed Mr. Jolin Roes Morris, M.A., Cantab., at present on tho staff of Wellingborough College, Northampton, to the headmastership of tho school, which has been filled temporarily since the beginning of last year by Mr. C. T. Major, formerly headmaster of King's College. Mr. Morris received his early education at Wem Grammar School, Shropshire, and proceeded to Emmanuel College, Cambridge, with a scholarship in 1924. He secured a firstclass in tho Historical Tripos and graduated B.A. in 1927 and M.A. in 1931, also obtaining his blue for Association football. Ho has been on tho staff of Wellingborough since 1927 and is at present senior history master there. Mr. Morris lias a good all-round record in sport. Ho was captain of Association football and swimming for Emmanuel College. At Wellingborough he has been a successful coach io football, cricket, swimming and boxing.
It is probable that Mr. Morris will arrive in Auckland in time to assume charge of King's School at the beginning of the third term in September.
