MAILS TO RAGLAN
FEELINGS OF THE SETTLERS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday In an interview at Wellington this week, the Postmaster-General, the Hon. F. Jones, commented on the ballot recently taken in the Raglan district to test the feelings of the settlers recardinp the time-table of the mail car. The voting showed a majority in favour of retaining the present times of running. The Minister said that as only 342 settlers out of 450 to whom ballot papers were issued had recorded their votes it was a reasonable assumption that all who were opposed to the present time-table had recorded their votes accordingly. He thought that those who did notvoto cculd therefore bo considered indifferent to the result. ■
