CENTENARY MEMORIAL MUSEUM COUNCIL'S VIEWS Support for Mr. H. E. Yaile's scheme for the city to acquire a portion of the Waitakere Ranges to mark the centenary celebrations in 1940 was expressed at yesterday's meeting of the council of tho Auckland Institute and Museum, which considered the proposal should receive support as a worthy centenary memorial. "Should we pass a resolution stating that we recommend this means of marking the centenary before we have heard what other proposals may be made?" asked Mr. C. 11. Ford. "Unless some body such as this takes up the scheme it might vanish into thin air," said the chairman, Mr. A. 6. Lunn. Another member suggested that tho. museum might have some scheme of its own to mark the centenary.
