YIELDS OF COMPANIES Okarito (South Westland). —Last week, 13oz. 3dwt. for 122 hours. Goldfields Dredging (Shotover). — looz. sdwt. Waipapa Beach (Otago).—2loz. for 72 hours. Nokomai (Central Otago).—The final wash-up of the last uncompleted paddock yielded an additional return of 550z. lldwt.. the total return for the whole paddock being approximated 191oz. ldwt. for 12,000 j'ards. ELECTROLYTIC ZINC OUTPUT Production of the Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia, * Limited (Melbourne), for the four weeks ended April 1, compares as follows with the four weeks ended March 4: —Zinc, 5410 (5393) tons, of which used in works 80 (80) tons; silver-lead product, lead 140 (175) tons; silver, 18,000 (14,000) ounces. The West Coast mines figures for the same period are:—Zinc, 2941 tons; lead, 784 tons. WESTERN AUSTRALIAN YIELD The gold output in Western Australia for March totalled 60,523 fmo ounces, valued at £529,383 (Australian currency), compared with 58,2780z. for February and 18,9200z. for March, 1935, which was low as a result of the mining strike. Production in March, 1934, was 45,8990z. WAIHI WARDEN'S COURT [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT! WAIHI, Wednesday Applications were granted as follows by Mr. F. H. Levien. S.M., in the Waihi Warden's Court to-day:—Metals Trust, Limited. Auckland, for two special quartz claims to bo known a.s the Mary and Matilda, each of 100 acres and pari of the old Waihi Consolidated claim; Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Limited, for a prospecting licence over 80 acres formerly known as Silverton special quartz claim; Richard Craig, for a prospecting licence over 20 acres, part of the old Waihi Gladstone claim.
