MATCH ON TUESDAY NEXT , Patrons of boxing have expressed pleasure at the action of the Auckland Boxing Association in securing another match next Tuesday for Cyril Pluto, the Western Australian champion. Pluto croatod a very favourable impression when he defeated Neville Mudgway at the Town Hall on Monday evening, and it remains to bo seep, whether he will be able to concede ovir « stone in weight to a man of such wide experience as .Ern Jacobs, the Wellington middle and lightheavyweight. It is seldom that boxero meet under such conditions, and Pluto's willingness to forgo such handicap invests the meeting with all the more interest. The following amateur programme has been arranged:— * , Heavy-weight.—-L. Painter (Onehunga) v. It. Anderson (Rotorua). Middle-weight.—P. Steers (Quoi's gymnasium) v. J. O'Dwer (Bassett's gymnasium), Feather-weight.—H. Stock (W. Williams' gymnasium) v. B. Lyall (H. Donovan's gymnasium). Special Fly-weight.—Challenge match: Allen Reid v. Don McDonald. Light-weight.—R. Nixon (J. Davey's gymnasuim) v. R. McLachlan (E. Donovan's gymnasium). Emergency Bout.—Welter-weight; A. Reid (Bassett's gymnasium) v. T. O'Meara (H. Donovan's gymnasium).
