SEAMAN BREAKS WINDOW
ESCAPADE WHILE DRUNK A seaman, John Casey, aged 61, appeared in the Police Court yesterday charged with being drunk in Federal Street on April 21, and with wilfully breaking five panes of glass, valued at £5 the property of John Jclicich. Accused pleaded guilty. Senior-Sergeant Flanagan said accused had called at dining rooms in Federal Street, but when he did not get a meal he went outside, took off his boots and broke five panes of glass. "He was n little knocked about while the proprietor was keeping him for tho police," added Mr. Flanagan. Accused was convicted and discharged on tha first charge and convicted and ordered to make restitution on tho seconc. charge, in default one month s imprisonment.
