MAHOMMEDAN FUNERAL

DEATH OF YOUNG SEAMAN The traditional burial rites of the Mahommedans were observed at the funeral yesterday df Abdul Jubber Aloineulla, a young seaman from the steamer C'ity of Canberra, who died suddenly on Tuesday. Ho was buried at Waikumete cemetery, the service being conducted by another member of the ship's company. A party of about 20 Mahommedans from the City of Canberra attended the funeral. One of the officers represented the ship, and the port chaplain, the Rev, H. K. Vickery, was also present. The dead man's shipmates who were present took part in the service, which was conducted according to the Mahornmedan ritual.
