AMPUTATION OF FINGER
RING CAUSES ACCIDENT [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Through her wedding ring becoming caught when she was closing a fanlight, Mrs. J. Sharp was a victim of an unusual accident, as the result of which it was necessary to amputate the third finger of her left hand. When the ring became caught, Mrs. Sharp slipped and the skin was torn away from the bone.
