AUCKLAND SKETCH CLUB
The monthly meeting of the Auckland Society of Arts Sketch Club was hold in the society's rooms last evening, the chairman, Mr. AVadlmm, presiding. The shaker was Mr. A. It. D. Fairburn, who took for his subject "Autumn Skies" and "In the Street." The essential points to consider in sketching were detailed by the speaker, after which a criticism of the sketches submitted to him was made. In moving a vote of thanks to the speaker, the chairman expressed the hope that members would have further opportunities of hearing Mr. Fairburn's helpful remarks and criticisms. He also referred to the fact that one of Mr. Fairburn's paintings recently had been acquired for the Art Gallery in Auckland. v
