QUARRYMAN INJURED
STRUCK BY HAMMER HEAD Severe concussion was suffered yesterday by a quarryman, Mr. William Bycroft, aged 37, single, of Kaukapakapa, when the head of a 71b. hammer lie was using flew off and struck him. The accident occurred at Kaukapakapa at about 9 a.m., and a St. John ambulance was immediately summoned from Auckland. Mr. Bycroft was admitted to the Auckland Hospital 2i hours later. His condition last night was reported to be serious.
