AUTUMN BLOOMS

DISPLAY AT ELLERSLIE MANY FINE EXHIBITS An excellent display of autumn blooms was staged yesterday at the annual Ellerslie chrysanthemum and dahlia show, held in the Presbyterian Hall. _ Two exhibitors, Mr. A. "Watts and Mr. J. W. Codlin, tied for the points award in the open section, and the novice honours were won by Mr. A. E. Seibert. Mr. R. C. Twentyman's chrysanthemum Louisa Pockett was declared the champion bloom on exhibition. The champion dahlia was Mr. A. Crombie's Jersey Beauty. In the cooking section the points prize was won by Mrs. S. Pemberton. The show was opened by Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P. The judges were Messrs. A. Garside and A. J. Hipwell (flowers), Miss E.
