TOUR OF AUSTRALIAN TEAM PROTESTS FROM CHRISTCHURCH [bt telegraph PRESS association] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Protests from the Canterbury Football Association at the non-inclusion of Christ-church in the venue of the tests with the visiting Australian team and at the tour being arranged without reference to the affiliated associations were received at to-night's council meeting of tho New Zealand Football Association. The chairman, Mr. J. A. Milburn, said that at first it was not possible to take the affiliated associations into their confidence regarding the tour as they had not been suro of getting the team. A test at Christchurch, where the gate takings were likely to be poor, was not feasible. It was stated that the New Zealand Council was taking tho whole of the financial responsibility, and asked for no guarantee from associations.
