RAILWAY FACILITIES
request for improvement COST CONSIDERED TOO GREAT [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday A reply was received by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce last night to its request for improved railway facilities at Frankton and Hamilton. The Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, wrote that proposals of this nature had been considered from time to time, but upon careful examination it had been found that the cost of making any material impro\ emcnt would be prohibitive. The matter had again been investigated in the light of the chamber s representations, stated tho Minister, but, unfortunately, there were 110 funds availably for works which could not be classed as really urgent. The proposals would receive further consideration, along with other works, when circumstances were more favourable.
