SHIP JOSEPH CONRAD
ARRIVAL AT NEW GUINEA Advice has been received by Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Crawford, of Tangowahine, the parents of Mr. R. A. Crawford, who joined the ship Joseph -on rad as a cadet, that the vessel had arrived at Samarai, New Guinea, in the course of her world cruise. It is ex pected that by this time the ship wi be on her way to Tahiti. In a letter to his people, Mr. Crawford stated that the Joseph Conrad wa# regarded as an oddity among the native folk in the islands. All on board were very happy and the cruise was being thoroughly enjoyed.
