SOCIETY OF MUSICIANS

The vocal and instrumental circle of the Society of Musicians met at Warwick Chambers on Friday night. In opening tho 1936 season, Mr. William D. Webber, in his presidential address, referred briefly to the extension of the circle library, and to the freedom of ensemble items (duos, trios and quartets) from restriction as to period or composer. A programme of a high standard was presented by the Misses Audrey Thompson. Connie Martin, Zelda Pulham, Freda Crook, Netta Simich, Lilla Hassell, Patricia MacLeod, Phyllis Lindridge, Mary Murphy, Constance Johnson, Mrs. Dundas Edmonds and Air. J. Elliot Johnson. Miss Amabel Thompson and Miss Rita Haresnapo were the accompanists.
