TWO CARS COLLIDE
SIX PEOPLE INJURED ACCIDENT NEAR HASTINGS [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] Hastings. Monday A violent collision between two cars, causing varying degrees of injuries, none of which was serious, to six people, occurred at 1e Mananga, nine miles south of Hastings, on the Wellington main road, yesterday. Mrs. J. R. Corskie, of Waipawa, suffered head injuries, and Miss Una Powell, of Otane, a dislocated knee. The cars were driven by Mr. Corskie and Mr. Frank R. Hunter, of Wanganui. The drivers and two other passengers, in Mr. Corskie's car, were slightly injured. The cars were extensively damaged. COLLISION WITH LORRY TWO MEN IN HOSPITAL [by telegraph—PßESS association] OTAKI, Monday As a result of a collision between a motor-cvcle and a motor-lorry Mr. Albert Gregory and Mr. Patrick Purden, who were riding on the former machine, were admitted to the Wellington Hospital suffering from injuries. Mr. Gregorv received a fractured arm and Mr. Purden a fractured thigh.
