DANCE EXHIBITION
An exposition of character and fancy dancing was given in the Kingsford Hall. Otahnhu, on Saturday at a social evening held by Aliss Aloore and her pupils to mark the opening of the •winter session. There was a large attendance of parents and friends and an enjoyable programme of dances, novelty competitions and items was presented. The principal items- were:— Pierrot ballet by Rose Hill, Lorna Dadson, June Hill, Rae Jackson, with Joy Miller and Rayne Cocks as soloists; step dance by Margaret Miller and Valerie Dawson; tap dance, Peggy Fielding; cowboy dance, Margaret Miller; Irish washerwomen, Rose Hdl and Rayne Cocks; gipsy dance, Peggy Fielding; tap, Lorna Dawson and Joy Aliller"; hornpipe, Peggy Fielding and Valerie Dawson; tap, Margaret Miller: trio, Peggv Fielding, Margaret Miller and Valerie Dawson. The accompaniments were played by Aliss Aloore and music for adult dancing by Aiiss A\cbber. Supper was served under the direction of Airs. Aloore.
