ACTIVITIES AT WAIHI INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP [FROM OCR OWN" correspondent] WAIHI, Monday The annual meeting of the Waihl Returned Soldiers' Association was held' on Saturday night. _ *. The president, Mr. J. Mitchell, in presenting the annual report and balance-sheet, said that the association had experienced a most satisfactory year. The membership had substantially increased, and it now stood at 116, the largest since the inauguration of the association 37 years ago. ; The statement of accounts showed that the receipts for the year were £125, and the expenditure £lO4, leaving a credit balance of £2l.
