DROVER FINED
STOCK ON PROHIBITED ROAD "That ought to keep him off the roads with stock," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court at Otahuhu yesterday, in imposing a fine of £3 on Thomas McCall, a drover, on a charge of taking stock over a prohibited road at Papatoetoo. Defendant did not appear. Evidence was given by tho traffic inspector, Mr. A. Breed, that defendant had not observed the by-laws and kept to tho approved stook routo. Witness had previously warned defendant, who was an experienced drover and frequently on the roads. Ho had apparently ignored all warnings.
