WELCOME TO PRIEST
FATHER DOYLE AT WAlHl[from OCR owx correspondent] WAIHI, Monday An enthusiastic welcome was accorded to the new parish priest, Father O. M. Doyle, by the parishioners of St. Joseph's Church in the parish hall. Father Doyle was accompanied by Mr. J. J. C'allaghan, chairman of "the reception committee, and Father Forrest, M.S.C. The chairman, in extending a cordial welcome to Father Doyle on behalf of the Roman Catholics of Waihi, offered him their loyalty and co-operation in regard to parochial and religious advancement. In responding to the welcome, Father Doyle said his lirst duty was to offer the parishioners his very sincere sympathy in the loss they had sustained by the death of the Rev. J. P. O'Hara. He expressed his great appreciation or the whole-hearted welcome to Waihi.
