WEDDING
AGAR—PICKETT The marriage was celebrated in th* Epsom Methodist Chnrch on Saturday night of Miss Gwendoline Muriel' Pickett, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Pickett, Heywood Crescent, Epsom, to Mr. Walter Snedden Agar, second son of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Agar, of Khandallah, Wellington. The Rer. E. D. Patchett officiated and Mr. Morris played the wedding music.. The church had been charmingly decorated with Easter daisies and pink dahlias by a number of the bride's girl frieiids. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a jgown of ivory crepe ninon. The long-sleeved bodice was finished at the neck with a cluster of ivory and silver roses, while four flounces at the hem of the gown formed a slight train. Her beautiful veil of Brussels lace was arranged with a halo of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white cactus dahlias and pale pink carnations. In attendance upon the bride was her sister, Miss Joy Pickett, who „wore a frock of coral crepe ninon with inset godets of coral pink lace, and halo head-dress of natural flowers to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink cactus dahlias. Mr. Sydney Agar, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. During the service a solo, " Because," was rendered by Mr. J. W. G. Pickett, brother of the bride. Following the ceremony 80 guests attended a reception at tho Domain Tea Kiosk. Mrs. Pickett received in a graceful gown of Etruscan crepe with a velvet cape trimmed with skunk. She wore a peach bldfojn velonr hat to tonp and carried a bouquet of blue delphiniums and autumn-toned dahlias. Mrs. Agar, the bridegroom's mother, was in a Lido blue lace frock and a velour hat to match. Her bouquet was of crimson flowers. The bride travelled in a Gloucester green fleeted tweed ensemble and a green stitched hat to match.
