CHRISTIAN CONVENTION
CAMP AT NGARUAWAHIA [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Monday Visitors from all parts of the Dominion are present at tlio lnterDenominational Christian Convention camp being held at Ngaruawahia, the total attendance of over 100 being a record. The ladies attending the camp are housed in the convention's own buildings, while the men are under canvas. Soveral well-known speakers accepted the convention committee's invitation to bo present at the camp, including Mr. J. E Orr„ England; Dr. C. J. Rolls, of America: and the Rev. 1;]. L. Gunasekera, of India. A number of prominent New Zealand clergymen and evangelists aro also present At the opening of the convention a welcome on behalf of the residents of Ngaruawahia was extended by the Mayor, Mr. R. Eyre. Members of the camp committee accepted the invitation of King Koroki and Princess Te Puea, and visited the Ngaruawahia Pa, where they were given a traditional Maori welcome. The committee members were afterward the guests of Princess Te Puea at afternoon tea. The programme at the convention includes meetings, addresses in the large marquee, excursions and sports.
