POSTAL PLEBISCITE
RAGLAN MAIL SERVICE OLD SYSTEM PREFERRED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday The ballot held by the Post and Telegraph Department to ascertain whether the householders of Raglan, To Mata, and To Uku preferred a morning or afternoon postal delivery from Hamilton, resulted in a majority being recorded in favour of the afternoon service, which was in operation prior to January 1 last. The ballot resulted in 172 votes being recorded in favour of the former afternoon service, and 170 in support of the present morning service. It is unlikely in view of the smallncss of the majority that any change will bo made. * At present mails leave Hamilton at 8 a.m. and Raglan at 3 p.m. Before January 1 last they left Hamilton at 2 p.m., the return service leaving Raglan at 7.30 a.m. next day.
