MILD WEATHER ISOLATED LOCAL RAINS The weather report and. forecast for New Zealand, issued last evening bv the Government meteorologist, were as follows:—Pressure is high and —very uniform over New Zealand, and an anti-cyclone also extends from southeastern Australia across the South Tasman, while a shallow depression covers the North Tasman. The indications are for light to moderate and variable winds, with easterly to north-easterly predominating, but southerlies in southern districts. Seas in New Zealand waters rather rough in places north of East Cape, otherwise slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate winds between north-east and south-east, with' slight to moderate seas. The weather is likely to he still fine and warm generally, but some isolated local rains are probable, more especially j n the far north and south, and it may be misty at times on' parts of the East Coast. SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST. CLOUDY, WITH SOME RAIN The Government metorologist issued to the Herald last evening the follow.' ing special forecast for the Auckland Province: —Moderate north-east to east winds. The weather is likely to be mainly cloudy to overcast, with scattered rain. Seas rather rough on parts of the East Coast, otherwise slight to moderate. WEEK-END WEATHER Auckland.—After ten days' fine weather the conditions were unsettled and wet during the week-end. Rain fell at intervals after mid-day on Saturday the showers being more frequent and heavier yesterday. A moderate to fresh easterly wind was blowing until last evening, when it decreased to a light breeze and the rain ceased. The temperature at 4 p.m. yesterdav was 65 degrees. Wellington.—The weather was fine and summerlike on Saturday and Sunday, with warm sunshine throughout both days. What little wind there was came from the north. Dunedin.—Bright sunshine was experienced on Saturday and there was a slight breeze from the north-east. he barometer fell slightly during the day, but rose again later.
