DISASTER IN CANTON
DEATHS IN GREAT FIRE HUNDREDS OF CASUALTIES (Received April 12, 5.5 p.m.) CANTON, April 11 It is feared that many people perished in a fire which destroyed hundreds of buildings in Canton, and raged for five hours, early this morning. The death roll at present cannot be ascertained, but it is known that 14 are dead and hundreds injured. The explosion of Government explosives in a warehouse caused a wild panic.
