NORTHERN WAIROA MEN [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] DARGAVILLE, Saturday The statement of receipts and expenditure presented at the annual meeting of the Northern Wairoa Returned Soldiers' Association showed a credit balance of £163, compared with £156 at the end of the previous financial year. In a plea for increased membership the president, Mr. J. H. Stubbs, said that if the membership showed a decline the strength of the association when making requests to the Government was weakened. Officers elected were: —President, Mr. J. H. Stubbs; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. Snowden and W. B. Williams; secretary, .Mr. 0. J. Bramwell; executive, Messrs; A. J. Brady, E. R. Munn, JJ. Marra (Dargaville), W. J. Searle, H. Nearmg (Te Kopuru), J. Murphy, T. Walton (Ruawai), R. M. Green (Arapohue), H. Hawkins (Tangowahine and Jr«!w£\ a) ' V " Woods (Waihue), E. iHeath (Tutamoe and Donnelly's).
