BUCKLAND TOURNEY [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Sunday Players from as far north as Onehunga and as far south as Huntly took part in an open full rink tourney held yesterday by the Buckland Bowling Club. With the weather fine throughout and the greens playing well, the day was thoroughly enjoyed. Eighteen rinks took part,, the games proceeding in four sections. In section A Steele (Buckland) tied with Roulston (Pukekohe) for the honours, each with three wins. The play-ofT was won by Steele. _ In section B Wells (Papatoetoe) and Wright (Buckland) tied, each with two wins and a loss. Wells won the play-off. Danes (Buckland), with three wins, won section C and Pirret. (Tuakau) with the same number took the honours in section D. The semi-finals resulted in Steele beating Wells and Danes beating Pirret. The final will bo played at a later date. The club has 32 entries for a pairs tourney. TOURNEY AT CLAUDELANDS [from ocjr own correspondent] HAMILTON, Bunday A progressive pairs tournament was played on the Claudelands Bowling Club's green yesterday. There were 28 players. The winning skip was J. T. Millington, with four wins. Nicolas and 0. J. Livingstone tied with five wins each in the leads section. In the play-of! Livingstone won. WHITIORA TOURNAMENT [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Sunday The three-day full rink tournament organised by the Whitiora Bowling Club was continued yesterday in fine weather. At the end of the sixth round, Whineray, Wheeler, Bond. Hawkins (Frankton) were leading with six wins. Cobb, White. Speight, Webber (Claudelands) were next with five wins and one loss.
