GOOD TEMPLARS LODGE
ANNUAL SESSIONS HELD The Grand Lodge sessions of the International Order of Good Templar? commenced at the Y.M.C.A. assembly hall on Saturday morning, Avhen the grand chief templar, Brother G. Petherick, presided over a fair attendance of delegates. The proceedings opened with the passing of resolutions of loyal sympathy with the members of the Royal Family. During the session ten members received initiation into the Grand Lodge degree. A message of fraternal greeting was sent to the grand lodge, New South Wales, now in session in Sydney. At the afternoon session reports of the grand chief templar and the grand superintendent of juvenile work were read and fully discussed, while in the evening a banquet was held, Brother T. Moore, D.C.T., presiding. Representatives from kindred societies included Mrs. Kasper (W.C.T.U.), Brothers Bodley, Campling and Clark (1.0. R.) and Mr. Falkney (New Zealand Alliance). A lengthy toast list was honoured and musical items were given by Mrs. Rattray, Miss Patricia McLeod, Miss Madge Higgins and Miss Edna Higgins.
