AIRSHIP HINDENBURG
SLIGHT ENGINE TROUBLE COURTESY FROM FRANCE FLIGHT OVER HER TERRITORY (Received April 10, 6.45 p.m.) LONDON, April 0 It is reported from Paris that the commander of the German airship Hindenburg sought permission, which was granted, to fly over French territory owing to the breakdown of one engine off Gibraltar. He stafed that the breakdown was due to broken pistons, which are of light aluminium alloy. A message from Berlin says the Zeppelin company does not regard 'the trouble as serious. It states that engine disturbances are liable to affect new airships, and Zeppelins can easily span the South Atlantic with one engine out of commission.
