You must take note, too, of the modern kitchen. Red and white is quite the most popular colour combination at the moment —white lacquered table, chairs and cabinet, picked out with red; red, white and perhaps black tile-patterned linoleum, red and white curtains, and white lacquered cupboards built-in under the stainless metal sink. It is becoming almost a uniform —but a very fresh and charming one.
