SOCIAL CREDIT BANK
ALBERTA RESOLUTION PREMIER'S EXPLANATION EDMONTON. April 7 The Alberta Legislature was prorogued to-day after the Premier, Mr. William Aberhart, had explained the resolution to establish a Social Credit Bank, which paves the way for Alberta's request to Ottawa to amend the British . North America Act and Canada's Constitution to permit the province to set up a bank which may later become a State Social Credit house. Another bill permits the recall of a member of the Legislature if sought by two-thirds of his constituents. The establishment of Social Credit with the promised payment of £5 a month dividend was left to a commission to report on its feasibility.
