CRASH IN AMERICA
ELEVEN PEOPLE KILLED ONLY TWO SURVIVORS MAYOR'S WIFE INJURED (Received April 8, 5.45 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 7 Eleven people were killed to-day when a transcontinental air liner, after leaving the Newark airport, crashed near Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Bad weather which caused ice to form on tho wings and radio trouble are believed to have been responsible for tho crash. A check of the casualties reveals that Mrs. Ellen Stein, wife of the Mayor of Ncwtirkj was one of the "two but she was seriously injured.
