NORTH AUCKLAND NEWS
Mra. G. Richard, of Kaitaia, has left on an extended holiday in Australia. Mrs. Gillard of Pukekohe, is at present visiting Waimamaku and is the guest of Mrs. V. Field. Mrs. McKenzie, of Wellington, is visiting Kaikohe and is tho guest of Mrs. J. Pausiner. Mrs. Jaggs, of Auckland, is visiting Okaibau and is the guest of Mrs. E. Jordon. / Miss E. Silieh, of Auckland, is tho guest of Mrs. F. Carter, of Okaihau. Prior to her departure for Auckland, where she will in future reside, Mrs. ]). Rutledge was the guest of honour at three functions. Tho Rebekah Lodge, of which Mrs. Rutledgo has been secretary for many years, held an evening social in her honour, when Sister McKinnon, one of tho oldest members of the lodge, presented her, on behalf of her fellow members, with a secretary's jewel. A farewell afternoon organised by the Kaitaia Women's Institute and other friends was held for Mrs. Rutledge, and during the afternoon sho was presented with a crystal set from her many friends. Musical items were given by Mesdames C. Wood, H. Head, D. Mcintosh, J. Moore and Miss E. Geard. The Presbyterian Women's Mission Union, of which Mrs. Rutledge has been a member, also held a farewell social afternoon, during which Mrs. Rutledgo was the recipient of a memento from the members.
