PREVENTION OF CRUELTY
| The monthly meeting of the Indies' committee of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held at the clinic this week. Mrs. Spencer Mason presided over a largo attendance of members. Prior to the business of the meeting members stood in silence in memory of the late Miss M. Shroff. A sub-committee under Mrs. Frances was appointed to assist with the Poppy Day street collection. The appointment of 'Mrs. M. It. McKenzie as treasurer was confirmed. Mrs B. J. Marquet reported that arrangements for a bridge afternoon were nearing completion and a successful function was assured. Mrs. Kearney confirmed the preliminary arrangements for the jumble sale and Mrs. McKenzip reported on the work of the stamp collection committee. Members present were: —Mrs. Spencer Mason, Mrs B. J. Marquet, Mrs. Noble, Mrs. «T. J. Kearney, Mrs. A. G. Fratikham, Mrs. McKenzie, Mrs. It. Bushell, Mrs. Knowles, Mrs. Collinson, Mrs. Frances, Mrs. Brownlow-Burke, Airs. Farmer, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. P. B. Ackland, Mrs. E. C. Green, Mrs. A. St. Clair Chaney, Mrs. Scott, Mrs. E. L. Burton aind Miss Lane.
