TWICE KNOCKED DOWN
ELDERLY FARMER IN STREET [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday While walking across Victoria Street early this afternoon Mr. Alfred Bernard Scherer, aged 75, farmer, of River Road, Hamilton, was knocked down by a motor-cycle ridden by Mr. E L. Taylor, of Ohaupo. As he regained his feet he was knocked down a second time hv a motor-car driven by a woman. Mr. Scherer, who suffered concussion, was taken to the Waikato Hospital in a St. John ambulance. At a late hour tonight he was still unconscious and was reported to be dangerously ill,
