NEXT AUCKLAND CONTEST PLUTO TO MEET MUDGWAY The Auckland Boxing Association has arranged a particularly fine programme for next Monday week, when Cyril Pluto, of Australia, will oppose Neville Mudgway, of Waihi, in a professional contest of 15 three-minute rounds. The following programme of amateur bouts has been arranged for the carnival:— Light-weight: A. B. Young (H.M.S. Philomel) v. Ray Nixon (J, Davey's Gymnasium); middle-weight. M. McKenna (J. Davey's Gymnasium) v. A. McDonald (W. Williams' Gymnasium); light-weight, H. Willmott (W. Bassett's Gymnasium) v. B. Lyall (H. Donovan's Gymnasium); wel-ter-weight, D. Gurr (P. Pearcey's Gymnasium) v. F. Parsons (J. Davey's Gymnasium). There will also be a teams contest of a series of one-minute rounds between a Maori team from Orakei and representatives of Auckland boxing clubs. The emergency bout will be:—Bantam-weight, H. Stock (W. Williams' Gymnasium) v. G. Gordon (E. Donovan's Gymnasium).
