THE AUCKLAND UNION COMMITTEES APPOINTED REINSTATEMENT OF PLAYERS The following committees were appointed at a meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union last evening:—Match, Messrs. Baker. MAORI TEAM FORMED [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday The Maori Rugby footballer* of the Whangarei district have decided to enter an all-Maori team for the senior championship competition held by the \V hangarei Bug . Union this season. Already more than the reauired 15 senior Maori players from respective clubs have given a definite promise to play regularly in the Maori team. It has been decided to call the club the Kiatoa Maori Football Club and the following officers have been elected .—Fran, dent Mr. H. Williams: secretary. Mr. N. WHANGAREI UNION OFFICERS [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday The election of officers at the annual meeting of the Whanearei Rligby Union last night resulted:—Patron, Mr. L. J. Brake; president, Mr. L.. Garry; Messrs. E. Cummmg, A. Steele and 1. H. Stewart; secretary, Mr. F. L. Morgan; treasurer, Mr. G. 11. Grant; auditor, Mr. V> • C Coote; committee, delegates from the clubs: hon. medical officers, Drs. S. H. Ward, H. F. Buckley, D. J. Goodwin and D F. Armstrong; delegates to North Auckland Union, Messrs. T. H. Stewart and L. decided 1o have a sole selector in the senior grade, the selection to be made by the management committee. The question of the number oi! selectors in the junior grade and their appointment was left to the management committee. Mr. N. Dickey was appointed third grade selector. Messrs. C. R. Powell and J. G. Britland were elected life members. Mr. S. J. Wood aaid the only gate revenue received last year other than from Whangarei was from Hikurangi and Maungakaramea.
