KENT-McCREADY CONTEST When Harry Kent defeated "Lofty" Blomfield in his first match in the Dominion ho proved himself a matman of quality and at once drew a. host of admirers. These increased in number when the powerful American wrestled a draw with Earl McCready in Wellington this week and it ia with the greatest interest that followers of the sport await the return contest between this pair at the Town Hall on Mondny evening. In both matches Kent has displayed exceptional strength and speed for such a large-proportioned man, and there are many people who consider that he will bo the first to beat McCready in this country. It is reported that McCready will soon be returning to America to fulfil engagements with new managers against the best men in the United States. This makes the new arrivals all the more keen to secure a decision against him before he sails. The following amateur preliminaries have been arranged:—J. McDonald (Broadway), list 21 b, v. R. Passmore (Grafton), 12st 6lb. Emergency bout: R. Nottingham (Leys), Bit Gib. v. N. Sakey (Lynndale), 9st.
