NEW OFFICERS ELECTED [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Wednesday A representative number of delegates attended the annual meeting of the Franklin sub-Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, held at Mauku to-day. Tliq following officers wore elected: —President, Mr. A. Whyte (Waiuku); vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Woolsey (Mauku), and W. IS'. Hunter (Bombay); delegates to Auckland Provincial Conference, Messrs. Woolsey, C. Williamson (Whangarata), F. Harrombe (Waiuku), Hunter, V. Pilehor (Mauku), and F. L. Steed (Maramarua). The last-named is an. emergency delegate. It was decided to advise the Franklin County Council that it had the union's whole-hearted support in the matter of ragwort inspection and control. A committee was also appointed to investigate complaints and to assist the council.
