THE MINING MARKET

GOLDEN DAWNS ADVANCE MOUNT MORGANS RISE There was a satisfactory turnover in the mining market on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. A rise of 6d in Golden Dawns was established by a sale at 3s 2d. Mount Morgans also were stronger and advanced Id to 16s 7d. Golden Crown, fully paid, were slightly cheaper in dealing, but the contributing shares firmed. Closing quotations were:—

NEW AUCKLAND LAUNDRY INCREASE IN TURNOVER The annual report and balance-sheet of the New Auckland Laundry, Limited, details of which were published in the Hkbald yesterday, were adopted at the annual meeting of shareholders last night. The chairman of directors, Mr. H. Bellani, presided. "In commenting upon the improvement in the turnover, Mr. Bellam emphasised the brighter prospects of the company. The purchase of the Dominion Laundry, he said, had helped materially in. the better results. The retiring directors, Messrs. J. R Abbott, H. Bellam and H. M. .Rogerson, were re-elected.
