AUTHOR AND PREACHER COMPLETING WORLD TOUR In the course of a world tour commenced two years ago with a capital of 2s 84d, (i young Irish evangelist and author, Sir. J. Edwin Orr, of London, arrived from Panama by the Rangitane yesterday. Mr. Orr, who is accompanied by his secretary, Mr. A. J. Sherriff, has travelled 100,000 miles in the past two years, and has come to New Zealand at the invitation of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, to speak at the Christian Convention to be held at Ngaruawahia at Easter. He will spend a month in the Dominion before leaving for Australia. Although only 24 years of ago, Mr. Orr has already gained prominence as the author of several religious books. His ability as a preacher is also well known, and in Chicago recently ho addressed a crowd of 10,000 people at a Christian businessmen's rally. A firm believer in practical answers to sincere prayer, Mr. Orr said ho had no qualms about setting out from Belfast in January, 1934, with less than 3s in his pocket. " A series of miracles " was how Mr. Orr described the manner in which his wants, and the wherewithal to travel, had been provided since he commenced his tour.

Since leaving Belfast, Mr. Orr has travelled in almost every country in Europe, and last May he went to Palestine. He has just completed a tour of America.
