INTOXICATED DRIVER
' FINE OF £3 INFLICTED PROSECUTION AT OTAHUHU A charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor vehicle was admitted in the Otahuhu Police Court yesterday by David Western Mcintosh, labourer, of Morrinsville. Sergeant J. Caliill said accused was arrested in Otahuhu by Constable Harris. Accused had been trying to crank up his car. A medical certificate had been furnished stating accused was not lit to be in charge of a motor vehicle. A fine of £3, with costs, 10s 6d, was imposed and accused's driving licence was suspended for six months. On a charge of failing to comply with the terms of a prohibition order accused was convicted and fined 10s. He was allowed one week in which to pay.
