FINANCING HOSPITALS
STATE LOTTERIES OPPOSED LOCAL BODY'S CIRCULAR [dt telegraph—OWN correspondent] PALMERSTON NORTH, Tuesday Small support has been accorded the proposal by the Manawatu County Council that hospitals should be financed by State lotteries. Of seven replies received to a circular letter sent to local bodies only one favoured the idea. One expressed 110 opinion and the remainder •voiced their opposition. •
