LATE MR. M. C. McGREGOR
FUND IN AID OF FAMILY MR. SAVAGE COMMENDS APPEAL [by telegraph—phess association] WELLINGTON, Friday "There have been many appeals to the generosity of the citizens of New Zealand, but I cannot think of any more worthy of support than tho McGregor National Fund," said the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, to-day. "I am sure the public will respond heartily." Mr. Savage referred to the late Squadron-Leador M. C. McGregor's career as an airman in war and peace, but said he had paid the price of so many pioneers and death had intervened. The main object of tho fund was the care and education of Mr. McGregor's four young children, and he had no hesitation in recommending it to his fellow citizens as worthy of their generous impulses.
