Feb. 27 The Industrial Commission which is dealing ■with the Port Kembla siron and works dispute sat to-day. x Mr. Evatt, K.C., who appeared for the ironworkers, said the employees were prepared to resume work under the conditions of the award upon the unconditional reinstatement of a dismissed employee, hut, he 'added, "the men will not be intimidated or bludgeoned into working excessive overtime." Mr. Justice Browne replied: When you bring a claim to the Commission showing that the company has gone outside the award it will be properly dealt with. The sitting was adjourned to enable the New South Wales executive of the union to reconsider the Commission's suggestion that the men should return to work and the Commission should hear evidence on the dismissal of the worker, Annabel, and on the question of overtime; also to enable Mr. Kvatt to procure full information for the Court as to what the executive of the union had clone to effect a settlement.
