THE COMING SESSION
BREAK IN WORK POSSIBLE MR. SAVAGE'S TOUR DEFERRED : [by telegraph—press association] Tbursdiy Pressure of business will prevent the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, firom making a tour of the Dominion as intended prior to the opening of Parliament, but he stated to-day that he would probably make it after the session was under way. . Mr. Savage indicated the possibility of a break in the sessional work, indicating that if the major legislation were disposed of it-might suit the convenience of the Government and members to have a break of five or six weeks. It depended on the progress made. He hoped that the major legis- ; lation would be disposed of in a fort* night, but the Budget and depart- | mental papers might not be ready to proceed with. "We are determined to j turn Parliament into a business institution," he said.
